they’re hitched

I Just realized I didn’t share with you the final print items for the Navy By The Sea wedding I worked on this Summer. Good thing it is Wedding Wednesday.

The last update was in June, just after the invites were sent in the mail. Since then, the wedding happened and a few more items were printed for the event.

sealed with a kiss

The Navy By The Sea Wedding invites have been sent out and hopefully the RSVPs are trickling in. Christmas card season has nothing on this brief but exciting time in a couple’s engagement.

After a few rounds of layouts, here is the final invitation and RSVP postcard*:

the little black dress wedding wednesday

When I hear cocktail I immediately think of Pretty Woman BlackcocktaildressI am loving the idea of a cocktail reception as an alternative to a formal seated dinner especially when the event is outside and it’s summer… Everyone is happy to mingle and sip drinks with a croquet mallet in the other hand!

mwd106572_win11_feimg_0797_1_hdHere is some inspiration for comfortable seating I found online. What’s great about a cocktail reception is anything goes – from hay bails to outdoor living rooms, you can do it all but make sure you offer plenty of seating options because no one wants to stand all day.

the short list

It is the grand finale of the J.Crew fashion show! Today it’s all about the bride but we’re keeping this short.

Call me biased (because I did it), but I love a short wedding dress. I’m a leg girl, and after our dreadful winter, don’t be afraid to show them off this summer! Here are J.Crew’s collection of short bridal dresses. short dressesBride

What about you… Did you go short? Would you? What about shorts? I’d love to know. C0772_NA6434_m

always a bridesmaid

Today the bridesmaids are stealing the spotlight and for good reason… I love the entire J.Crew bridesmaid line! If I had to pick, the fourth and fifth dresses are my favourites. What about you? Let me know!
