One of my Sweet Sixteen goals is to host 12 parties. Is that a lot? I think I need to stock up on candles.
I have a few ideas up my sleeve – and have heard some good ones from friends – making me excited to dive in to this adventure.
Right before we rang in the new year, we had a brunch at our house to celebrate a friend who was in town. Nothing big – just nine adults and four kids – and it was lovely. Everyone brought something and it was a carb-loading good time. After all was said and done, Mike commented that it’s fun to have a morning event, it means your whole day isn’t consumed with party planning and cleaning. I agree!
So a brunch in 2016 is on the list… perhaps another pizza night, maybe tacos? Here are some other ideas:
A wine and cheeser
On the seventh day god rested year we partied! (David’s birthday)
Pretty in Pink corsage (or some kind of flower) making party
Girl You Know It’s True. Lip Sync battle
These are a few of our favourite things gift exchange party
A backyard-again (another backyard party)
Let me know if you have any other good ideas (but no tupperware please)!

My mother in law goes to an annual “alphabet” party. Started on A (obviously) and all the guest have to bring a $20 gift that begins with A. They do a Yankee swap kind of thing and play a round of bingo! Haha- sounds random, but she claims it’s great fun! They are now on G or something and it’s the same crowd every year. I do like traditions!
