I spotted an Oh Dina! DIY Flower Crown Kit at Lady Luck Boutique in the Hydrostone market and decided to give it a try. And although I do not have an occasion for my creation, it was a lot of fun. I think these kits would make a great gift for little and big people or it’d be a perfect accessory for a flower girl. They’re easy to make and the kit comes with enough flowers and greenery to make your crown any way you want.
Thank you Miss Margaret Maye (my niece) for modelling.
And to TOP it off… Nicole McInnis of Oh Dina! is a local gal. She’s a milliner with a background in historical costuming from Dalhousie University and Fashion Design from Ryerson University’s School of Fashion. She teaches crown making classes – how fun would that be for a bridesmaid or birthday party?
For those who roll their eyes at anything DIY, don’t worry, Oh Dina! sells stunning crowns already made – you can find them at shops like Lady Luck or on her Etsy store. There’s no excuse… we can all wear flowers in our hair.
