Brigadoon’s Wine & Dash… or as Alison called it, the Wine & Waddle was yesterday and we had a great time. Here is a photo recap of the day:
The route was a very scenic and hilly ten mile loop starting and ending at Luckett Vineyard.
Our first stop was L’Acadie Vineyard about 5km down the road. I was excited because I am a big fan of their sparkling wines (read here) and it was nice to see the vineyard in the summer.
Becky and I stopped and enjoyed a drink before talking off agin to Gaspereau Vineyard, just 2km down the road.
Unlike most race water stops, this event had cheese and crackers too!
The longest stretch of the race was about 7km to Domaine de Grand Pré where we had one final stop before the 3km trek back up the hill to Luckett’s where we enjoyed our final glass.
And of course, it’s always nice to bring home a souvenir from the gift store!
After a tough run, we celebrated (aka stalled going home) with a late lunch and beer at the Port Pub in Port Williams.
Thanks Sarah, Alison, Becky, Tanya and Amy for a great day!
psst. Must find a running hat that does not make me look like a 12-year-old boy
