a silver lining

I am embarrassed to say I have the ability to tarnish jewellery, easily. I don’t wear a lot but I do fancy myself a necklace and earring gal and my collection was looking sad … well actually, tarnished.

After doing a Google deep dive, I discovered I am not a bad person, found this site and decided to give it a try. SPOILER ALERT – it is the best-kept silver cleaning secret ever!

My friend Amanda lent me a polishing cloth (something I should own) and here is the result.

After a quick polish using just the polishing cloth:

And Ta-da!

As you can see (despite my photography skills), there is a big difference! I think the cleanse is worth it, especially since it only took five minutes and I already had all of the ingredients but, the polishing cloth alone did a great job. So, if you just need to do a quick surface clean, don’t bother with the science but the solution will work better on chains and smaller pieces. Have fun!
